Tools of calculation

We suggest for the density 10 m x 10 m (100 trees per ha).

The pollination is mainly ensured by insects. So, the pollinators have to be placed homogeneously in the orchard.

If your orchard is surrounded of wild chestnut trees, you can add only 5% of pollinators. In the opposite case, 10 % of pollinators will be necessary.

This diagram is an example. We advice to consult an agricultural engineer.

For each chestnut variety we give you in our catalogue the adapted pollinators.
